Typically, the energy conservation measures will address the property’s projected use of electricity, water and gas in the following areas:
- HVAC equipment and controls;
- Lighting systems and controls;
- Potential solar and wind energy applications;
- The creation and storage of hot water;
- Motor controls and use of variable frequency drives;
- Building envelope upgrades.
In addition to identifying and verifying appropriate energy conservation measures, Protrade’s Project Design also includes project management considerations such as selection of the project team, work breakdown structure, scheduling, and estimates of required resources, time and costs. Ultimately, risk assessments are calculated and a recommended design, budget and schedule is proposed. |
